Physical Education Newsletter
First Trimester
Welcome Back!
Here is what is happening in the first trimester for Physical Education at Beye School…

3rd, 4th, and 5th grade:
Flag Football
Students will practice their catching and throwing skills while playing lead up games that teach them the rules, positions, and offensive/defensive strategies to the game.
Soccer
Students will practice dribbling, passing, and shooting while playing lead up games that teach them rules, positions, and offensive/defensive strategies to the game.
Fitness Testing
Our fitness tests cover the areas of cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, and muscular strength. These tests are done in the form of a pacer test (cardiovascular), push up test (muscular), and sit-up test (muscular).

K, 1st, and 2nd grade:
Spatial Awareness
Students will engage in activities that teach them how to safely move around the gym while maintaining safe distances from other students.
Locomotor Skills
Students will demonstrate the ability to walk, run, skip, hop, and gallop during game activities.
Catching and Throwing
Students will participate in activities that teach them the fundamentals of throwing and catching.
Fitness
Students will practice building cardiovascular endurance through running activities and build muscular endurance through modified push ups and sit ups.
